Hey, friends and family! Guess what…
We got married on Saturday, 2 March 2024!
We had a small, intimate ceremony with our immediate family at the Mairie du 10è in Paris.
Since we weren’t able to have everyone we care about there with us in person, we created this website to share this milestone with all of you virtually!

The Bride
Laura Fisher grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. As a child, she loved reading, drawing, anime, and playing with her pet ducks. She lived in Chicago before moving to France in 2020 to get her MFA in Drawing at Paris College of Art. She loves living in Paris with Alexis, creating art (drawing, printmaking, photography, and textiles!), taking walks along Canal St. Martin, and eating too much cheese.
The Groom
Alexis Mérat was born in Troyes, France, and grew up in Brévonnes. He enjoys going to museums, biking, traveling, experimenting in the kitchen, and reading books about art and philosophy. He loves living with Laura and their 5,000 houseplants in their Paris apartment. He would write more about himself here—but can any of us really claim to know ourselves, to understand the meaning of life?
How We Met
It all started in a tiny village in the French countryside in 2018…

Honestly, we don’t expect gifts! But, we’ve had a few people ask us about a registry, so we’ve included some ideas below. We are incredibly grateful for any contributions to our new life together.
